Water polo rules touching bottom

Touching the ball with two hands (does not apply to goalkeeper inside of the 5-meter line)A major foul is assigned to the player who commits it. Players tread water the entire game and cannot touch the bottom or sides of the pool. At the bottom of the page is a link to the official US Water Polo rules.


Note: Rules below reflect the latest FINA Water Polo Rules 2005-2009. FINA Water Polo World LeagueSwimming: Water polo is a sport that requires the ability to swim effectively. Modified rules are applied depending on the age and expertise of the players. The goal tender is allowed to jump off the bottom to defend his net.


The two fundamental parts of the sport are sex and violence. R To indicate the ordinary foul of standing on the bottom of the pool. All players must present their valid U of S student card to participate in any Campus Rec sports league.


Play the ball with any part of your body touching the bottom or sides of the pool. Water Polo is a team sport consisting of 13 players with seven in the water at a time (six field players and one goalkeeper). Egg beater is used for most of the match as the players cannot touch the bottom of the pool.


Understanding the rules is an important part of playing (or watching) water polo. The biggest difference between water polo and most other team sports is that every player is constantly moving.
